Curriculum

Capital Montessori School runs a Montessori curriculum with enrichment in several areas. Enrichment areas include Spanish, Sign Language, aerobics, arts, crafts, and music. Several field trips are also taken during the course of the year including: seasonal visits to McLane Nature Trail, the fire station, the police station, and Lion's Park.

CMS also partners with our neighbor, HomeStreet Bank, for Bank Day. HomeStreet Bank allows CMS students to open no fee savings accounts with as little as $1.00. Students with accounts are taken to the bank, where they can make deposits to their account.

Capital Montessori School offers two full time Children's House Classes. These classes serve ages 3 through Kindergarten. Classes run Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Before and After school care is available for this program. 

Class Size

CMS runs at a 10:1 Student to Teacher ratio.

Lunch and Snacks

Snack is provided by the school, and is served at 9:00 and 2:30. Lunch is brought from home. The lunches brought from home must be healthy in nature and free of candy and soda (required by state regulations).
