Monthly Calendar's and Information Packs

Around the middle of the month, a monthly information packet is placed in your child's parent information file.  In this packet, you will find the calendar for the following month, information on trips and events, and permission slip for field trips.  Please fill out the permission slip and turn it into the office by the due date.  The monthly packets and calendars can also be found on the web site.  You can access them by clicking on the link for Calendars/Monthly News or clicking here.

Payment Information

Tuition charges are due on the 1st of the month and late by the 5th.  Care time charges are due on receipt.  Late payments are subject to a $30.00 late fee.  If you have questions about your bill, contact Brian White.

Care Time

Care Time charges are billed monthly on an as-used basis.  They current rate is $4.00 and is rounded to the minute.  Care time charges start from the minute school ends or begins if they are not dropped off or pick up within fifteen minutes of the start/end time.  CMS is open from 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM.  A late fee of $1.00 per minute will be assessed for pick ups after 5:30.

Lunch Information

Lunches are brought from home for the students to eat.  Lunches from home should be healthy and free of candy and soda (state regulations).

Birthday Information

At CMS we recognize children's Birthdays, but we try to keep it low key.  Please do not bring cupcakes or other "sweets."  One tradition at CMS is to have the birthday child donate a book to their class.  The book can be wrapped up like a present, and the child can open it up at circle.  The teacher can then read the the book to the class.  A note is written in the book about who the book was honoring, and they leave a bit of a legacy in that class.  Another option is to bring a healthy snack such as fruit or vegetables.  Please do not bring balloons, as they are a choking hazard.

Snow Information

CMS makes every attempt to stay open when it is safe to do so.  If severe snow comes, CMS will notify KGY 1240 AM and Mixx 96.1 FM (KXXO) with our status.  Every attempt will also be made to update the school voicemail by 6:30 AM.  The voicemail can be listed to by calling the school at the regular number of (360) 438-3639.

Fundraising

CMS does several fundraisers throughout the year including Tupperware (twice a year), Red Apple Morley (wrapping paper, etc.), Read Street Book Fair, and World Book.  There are no fundraising expectations of parents.  Participation is completely voluntary.  Generally funds raised go toward classroom materials.

CMS also participates in three ongoing fundraisers that cost nothing to participate in.  They are Campbell's Labels for Education, General Mill's Box Tops for Education, and Cartridges for Kids.  Below is the details on each program.

Campbell's Label's For Education
Campbell's gives the school points for each label we clip and send in.  The points can be redeemed for many different products for the school from PE equipment to computers.  All Campbell's products are eligible including Swanson, Pace, Pepperidge Farms (Goldfish Crackers count!), V8, and Prego.  For a complete list of eligible products please visit their web site at http://www.labelsforeducation.com.

Box Tops For Education--General Mills
